Our locally coppiced hazel and pea sticks have arrived. Early spring is the ideal time to build nests out of pea sticks to support Oriental poppies, aconitums and structures for the sweet peas and to make wigwams out of bean poles for the beans to scramble up.

Summer Staking Update
All your hard work earlier in the season will now be paying off as sweetpeas and runner beans now creep up the hazel frames and stakes and well supported dahlias show off their heavy heads. Also, see these before and after images of the Petersham House Border in the spring and in the summer.
